Flutter Entertainment appointed John Bryant, who has experience with various international companies. Additionally, the company appointed him as Chair designate of the Board and as a non-executive director.
Flutter said that Bryant’s appointment took effect after its yearly general meeting on April 27. According to bookie industry news reports, Flutter said Bryant would assume the position as Chair beginning September 1.
Bryant will replace outgoing Chair Gary McGann. The latter will step down from his position after serving his nine-year tenure. Also, the company said Bryant’s appointment aligns with its succession plan. In addition, it is part of its good governance practice.

Bryant will join the Flutter Board’s Nomination and Remuneration Committees and serve as a non-executive director and Chair designate. Also, he will assume the position of Nomination Committee Chair on September 1, 2023.
Flutter’s CEO, Peter Jackson, thanked McGann for his hard work and commitment. In addition, he admitted that McGann had served as the company’s chair for eight years and as a non-executive director for nine.
