Lawmakers haven’t taken votes on the updated sports betting bill that would legalize the activity in Ohio. The proposal allows twenty retail licenses and twenty online licenses. Thus, people are already wondering about the possible Ohio sportsbook operators.

In a gaming committee hearing, officials said that even Ford Motor Company could apply for a sports betting license. According to sportsbook pay per head reports, Ohio casinos can have more than one online skin.
Possible Ohio Sportsbook Operators
According to sportsbook software experts, Ohio was late in legalizing casino gambling. However, its casino industry grew in the last decade. An approved version of the bill would allow casinos to apply for both retail and online licenses.
At present, the state has eleven casinos and racinos. Also, there are gambling facilities near Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Youngstown, Toledo, and Dayton. In addition, several casinos have partnership deals with sportsbook operators. Thus, it is certain they would enter the market once it launches.
Professional sports teams lobbied for the legalization of sports betting. In addition, they asked lawmakers for exclusive licenses for groups based in the state. However, it is still early to tell which sportsbook operators will partner with professional teams.
Some professional sports leagues already have existing sports betting partners. For example, the NFL has deals with DraftKings, Caesars, and FanDuel. Likewise, the NBA partnered with MGM, FanDuel, Fox Bet, and DraftKings.
The MLB signed deals with MGM, FanDuel, Fox Bet, and DraftKings. The NHL partnered with Betway, Bally’s, and PointsBet. Lastly, the MLS is an MGM partner. Esports organizations also want the chance to operate sportsbooks as well.
